Wharariki Trust were one of the recipients to receive funding from HBF this year and they are planning to develop the gardens at Kimi Ora Community School, where they focus on a “garden to plate” philosophy.
“It is all about giving kids the best start in life and it is really important to have healthy food. We want to promote well-being and provide a learning environment. We also want to reach the wider school community through the children.”
