Leaving a gift in your will
Leaving a gift in your will – a bequest – is a popular way to give. Bequests come in all sizes and forms, and we also welcome assets other than money. You can either leave a set amount or leave a percentage of your estate, capped to a ceiling value if you wish.
Giving for Charitable Organisations & Trusts
We provide a range of options for established or new foundations. Charitable and community organisations can set up their own endowment fund within Hawke’s Bay Foundation as a way to ensure a consistent stream of income that can be used to support their charitable and other goals.
You might be considering outsourcing part or all of your grantmaking, or putting your endowment in professional hands. Importantly, by establishing a dedicated fund within Hawke’s Bay Foundation, all investment and compliance requirements and costs are taken care of by the Foundation.
Hawke’s Bay Foundation offers the opportunity to existing charitable, family, and corporate trusts to transfer the operation and management of their trust to the Foundation. You can establish an endowment fund at any time with us and you can start small and build it up over time. We will work closely with you and your family to create your fund which best fits with your charitable objectives.
Once a bequest or gift reaches $25,000, you can get started straight away and name the fund after your family or a loved one and your generosity will make an annual community charitable impact forever.
