To help support the region’s unprecedented relief effort, Hawke’s Bay Foundation has set up a special ‘HB Cyclone Relief Fund’ to funnel donations direct to overwhelmed welfare agencies on the ground, that need it most.
If you’re a business or individual who can donate to this critical Fund to help those worst affected, please donate through the donate button below.
By receiving gifts and bequests we connect donors with local causes they love and provide Hawke’s Bay charities with long-term, sustainable income. Unlike other charitable giving, our smarter giving model is built to last – Making Your Giving Go Further.
Thanks to our donors, we have made the following impact to our Hawke’s Bay community since 2012:

GRANTS MADE TO LOCAL CHARITIES
“I chose Hawke’s Bay Foundation to manage my charitable giving because there’s no bureaucracy, it’s local and gets through to the people who need it. It’s got integrity and I like that.”

Donors share why they chose Hawke’s Bay Foundation for their charitable giving.
“When we were writing our wills Mike and I discussed our hopes for our community and for a just world, where all people have equal opportunities to flourish and participate. By making a gift in our wills to the Hawke’s Bay Foundation our commitment will continue to make a difference in the lives of people for many years to come. It is our small way of contributing well beyond the grave to the community we love. We are not wealthy but are ordinary working people who want to make a difference.”

“Giving to assist others in your community is a very rewarding experience. If we are not in a position to give while alive, we can all consider including a gift from the assets of our estate on our death. My wife and I will be making a significant gift to the Hawke’s Bay Foundation as part of our Declaration of Wishes in our will and we implore others to consider likewise.”
Bequestors
“For many years we have donated to a number of charities. However, we have become aware of the very large administration costs of some of these charities. When we heard about the Hawke’s Bay Foundation, it seemed an ideal way to support local charities with minimal administration costs. We also liked the idea that money donated in this area stays in the area.”
