We are delighted to launch our first ‘Special Interest’ fund – the Arts Fund
Our first dedicated special interest fund was launched in August with the purpose of injecting money into the local arts community to ensure that our creative talents throughout the region continue to be nurtured and supported.
Hawke’s Bay has an incredibly vibrant arts community with great depth of talent, so this fund will provide specific funding at a grassroots level to give them a leg up to become sustainable on their own.
Four incredibly generous donors seeded the fund and the Harcourts HB Arts Festival supported the fund by adding a donation button to their site during the festival and through this we had a further 132 donations, so we are delighted to launch our Arts Fund with over $26,000. This means that we will be able to start distributing funds this year which is absolutely phenomenal.
